Kuranui students had fantastic achievements at the recent Wellington Secondary Schools Athletic Championships!

Toyah Churton won the Junior Girls Triple Jump title and Connor Henare won the Intermediate Boys Triple title.

Both went on to represent Wairarapa at the North Island Champs, and both placed second in their categories.

These are fabulous results, and we look forward to November when Connor and Toyah chase further success at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletic Championships, held in Dunedin.

In the Wairarapa 7’s Rugby Tournament, Kuranui faced Wairapa College Green and came away with a convincing 24-0 win, followed by a 22-5 victory over Wairapa College Blue.

The hard-fought finals saw an injury (broken arm) to Jordan Cadwallader, but Kuranui still defeated Wairapa College Blue 34-7.

Congratulations to the team, and best wishes to Jordan for a speedy recovery!

In a hard-fought and very close match, the Masterton Police managed a win against the Kuranui Senior Boys.

The competition is always great to look forward to, and provides valuable experience for the boys as they develop their game.
