There’s a great night of family entertainment coming to Kuranui College next month, with a live stage show from international comedy hypnotist Gerard V – aka Gerard Verschuren. Gerard is a certified Master Practitioner of Hypnosis and Neurolinguistic Programming, and has been hypnotising people since 1994.

The event takes place in the auditorium at Kuranui College, East St, Greytown, on Friday 17th October, with doors open from 6.45pm and the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at $25 and include a light supper, with a cash bar available on the night, selling wine and a full range of non-alcoholic beverages.

Although Gerard is renowned for his unique and hilarious style of hypnotism, the emphasis is on keeping the comedy clean, which makes for great entertainment for the whole family, including children of all ages. And there’s no need to be apprehensive if you’ve never previously been to see a hypnotist perform, as only volunteers will be hypnotised.

Kuranui College Principal Geoff Shepherd is looking forward to the show, which will also act a fundraiser for the college. “We have been very fortunate to host some fantastic shows at Kuranui recently and this is one we are all very much looking forward to. There’s often a shortage of quality events which the children can enjoy as much as the adults, but the Gerard V show certainly fits the bill.

“Our auditorium at Kuranui is a wonderful facility, which is ideal for staging these types of events and we looking forward to another full house on Friday 17th October. Tickets are strictly limited, so I would encourage everyone to make sure they book in advance or there could be some very disappointed people on the night.”

Tickets are on sale now and are available at, the Masterton and Martinbourgh i-SITES, Carterton Events Centre and the Kuranui College office.
