We are leaders in offering education opportunities through our Gateway and Pathways programmes.
Students in the Senior College are able to combine work experience with individually tailored courses as part of the Gateway programme.
The “Futures Learning” department at the college works closely with students to customise their learning programme.
If students choose to spend a day a week in a workplace on a Gateway placement, the college will provide any equipment or clothing required as well as pay for transport. Gateway students are expected to achieve 20 NCEA credits from the relevant Industry Training Organisation (ITO) over the course of a year.
Taratahi Agricultural Training College, UCOL and Weltec allow students to study on their campus for one or more days a week and study at Kuranui College for the remaining days.
