Kuranui College offers a dynamic and engaging curriculum at Years 9 and 10. The purpose of our curriculum is to IGNITE students’ passion for learning by allowing them to follow their interests and talents.

Our goal is to allow students to engage in what they are good at and work with them to become great at it. Each IGNITE course is underpinned by key skills and knowledge to prepare students for NCEA and life.

Students will study ten courses during each year. The year is divided into two semesters which are approximately 18 weeks in length. Students study five courses each semester totalling ten each year.  In each major curriculum area there are a variety of courses focused on different elements, ideas and contexts.​​​​​​​
